Summary:  Granny May commits robberies by printing fake coupons and taking them into stores.  When a store clerk refuses, she attacks him by shooting yarn out of her knitting needles.  She also attacks Word Girl when Word Girl tries to stop her.  Word Girl and Captain Huggy Face follow Granny May to her home and destroy her coupon-making machine.  Granny May is taken off to jail.

Word Girl: Tobey or Consequences

Summary:  Tobey and his giant robots are causing problems downtown.  Word Girl calls Tobey’s mom to stop him, but she only reaches the babysitter.  Word Girl and Tobey agree to compete in a game show to decide the fate of the city.  If Word Girl wins, Tobey will shut down his robots.  If Tobey wins, Word Girl will allow them to destroy the city.  Word girl wins, but Tobey refuses to shut down his robots.  Captain Huggy Face shuts down the robots with a remote control he got from Tobey’s house.

Violence:  Word Girl destroys some of Tobey’s robots.

Morality/Ethics: Becky lies to her father about why she is following the robot.  Tobey lies about why he wants Word Girl’s autograph.  He also doesn’t keep his word about shutting down the robots after he loses the game show.  Tobey also lies about the robots to his mom.

Sexuality:  Nothing explicit, however the narrator reveals that Tobey has a secret crush on Word Girl.  The narrator also reveals that Word Girl has a secret crush, but he doesn’t say the person on whom she has a crush.

Summary: Tobey and Becky (Word Girl) run into each other at a department store.  Tobey reveals to Becky his plan to destroy the city.  Tobey built several robots that he programmed to carry out his plan.   Word Girl stops the robots and saves the day.

Summary: The local museum has a new exhibit, the beef jerky of supreme power.  This necklace allows anyone with meat powers to become supremely powerful.  The Butcher, who has meat powers, steals the necklace.  When the Butcher returns to the museum to steal the matching bacon earrings, he is thwarted by Word Girl and Captain Huggy Face.

Summary: Becky’s parents are setting up a surprise birthday party for her.  Becky (who is also Word Girl) finds out about the party.  However, before she can return home for her party, she must stop the energy monster from destroying the town.  Word Girl does stop the energy monster and is able to return home and enjoy her surprise party.
